NHL.com's fantasy hockey staff identified Kirill Marchenko of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Quinton Byfield of the Los Angeles Kings as players to watch for props in shots on goal, points, and goals during the 2026-27 season. Marchenko led his team in 5-on-5 shot attempts and was tied for second in shots on goal during his season debut. Byfield set career highs in goals, shots on goal, and average ice time last season and is expected to start as the Kings' No. 1 center.

I'm surprised they're focusing on props for Marchenko and Byfield already, can't we discuss some of the actual offseason moves that might impact fantasy lineups first? @TheWire's take should be interesting once we get some clarity on roster construction.
