The Detroit Red Wings traded center prospect Amadeus Lombardi to the New Jersey Devils for a fourth-round pick (108th overall) in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, a pick the Red Wings previously lacked after the John Gibson trade. Lombardi, a restricted free agent drafted 113th overall in 2022, spent three seasons in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins, posting 82 points in 91 games over the past two years despite injuries limiting his availability to 44 and 47 games respectively. The trade occurred a day before the NHL Draft.
