The San Jose Sharks named Macklin Celebrini their captain at age 20, making him the youngest in franchise history. The Chicago Blackhawks named Connor Bedard their captain at age 21. Connor McDavid remains the youngest captain in NHL history, having been named captain at 19 years old.
