The Dallas Stars conducted a team-building trip to Traverse City, Michigan, spending four days there between the end of the preseason and the start of the regular season. The team participated in two practices, along with recreational activities like golfing and fishing, and shared multiple meals together. General manager Jim Nill arranged the visit after learning the Detroit Red Wings were not using the location that year.
