Pastrnak named Bruins captain, first since Marchand

David Pastrnak was named captain of the Boston Bruins, succeeding Brad Marchand who was traded in March 2025. The 30-year-old forward has played his entire 12-season NHL career with the Bruins and is sixth in franchise history in points. Pastrnak will wear the "C" for the Bruins' season opener against the New York Rangers.
