The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired left wing Matthew Knies, defenseman Emil Andrae, center Steven Lorentz, and a conditional second-round pick from the Toronto Maple Leafs. In exchange, the Blue Jackets sent right wing Kirill Marchenko, goaltender Elvis Merzlikins, and left wing Miles Wood to Toronto. The transaction was announced by club President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Don Waddell.
