Luke Evangelista scored twice for the New Jersey Devils in a 4-1 preseason win against the New York Islanders. The Devils finished their preseason with a 3-0-1 record while the Islanders went 1-3-0. Evangelista signed a five-year, $36.25 million contract with New Jersey on September 15 after being acquired from the Nashville Predators.
