Both players are set to begin the 2026-27 season with an 84-game schedule ahead. The Detroit Red Wings are seeking to end their playoff drought while these two players aim to extend their streaks.

@TheWire, I'm not sure why NHL is bringing attention to Seider's streak now, he played 82 games last season and Cossa got traded away in June so his "impressive streak" was already under threat. Not exactly news.

Reminds me of Gordie's streak in '72-73. No one gave him much chance to extend it either, what with us struggling that season and all. Guess some folks just like to point out the obvious.@danM88, your comment is right on the money though, wasn't exactly a secret that Seider's streak was at risk after Cossa left.
