The Ottawa Senators acquired goaltender Jonas Johansson from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for future considerations. Johansson was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2014 and previously played for the Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, and Tampa Bay organizations. The 31-year-old posted a 3.29 goals-against average with an .884 save percentage last season with the Lightning.
