Eight Eastern Conference teams that missed the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs are seeking to qualify for the 2026-27 playoffs. The Columbus Blue Jackets finished 40-30-12, seven points out of the second wild card spot. They lost nine of their final 11 games and finished six points behind the Philadelphia Flyers.
